Additional Academic Programs
Diploma in Business Management (DBM)
The Diploma in Business Management curriculum is designed to produce graduates equipped to function in entry-level Diploma positions with a strong foundation for continued career growth. It combines conceptual knowledge in key disciplinary areas with strong technical knowledge required for workplace performance. The curriculum has a strong emphasis on project work thus building the problem solving and critical thinking skills needed by Business Management professionals.
Minimum admission requirements:
KCSE certificate with a minimum of aggregate of C
EACE/KCE/KACE/EAACE certificate with a minimum of four (4) credits in any four subjects at ‘O’ level, One principal at A level.
12th grade certificate with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
IGCSE certificate with a minimum of four (4) upper level passes.
GCE certificate with minimum of four (4) upper level passes at ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level passes of C grade.
IB certificate with four (4) upper level passes.
Any other qualification(s) that may be approved by the university senate.
The DBM programme comprises Five (5) trimesters offered in One and a half (1½) calendar years and not more than 3 calendar years
Full-time DBM Regular Program
Evening DBM Regular Program
Upon successful completion, a DBM holder is legible to join Stage II of the BCOM program
DBM holders are exempt from 21 Units, and can complete the BCOM program in One and a half (1½) calendar years
