KCAU MSc. Development Finance Gets CIDEF Accreditation
After the pioneering launch of Master of Science in Development Program (KCA University was the first institution in East and Central Africa to offer the program), the School of Business and Public Management has now become an accredited institutional member of the Chartered Institute of Development Finance (CIDEF). CIDEF is the global learned body of development finance professionals and specialists (more information available at https://www.globalcidef.com/). Moreover, our MSC in Development Finance program has also been accredited.
The accreditation certificate was presented by Prof. Nicholas Biekpe, the Executive Chairman of CIDEF and received by Dr. Abraham Rotich on behalf of the Dean at an event held at the School of Business and Public Management. This means that students in this program will now be awarded automatic student membership. This is significant since student membership cost USD 160 per year and thus a great benefit to our students. Additionally, they qualify to apply for Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA) membership. CDFA is the highest membership award awarded to individuals who have successfully completed a CIDEF accredited postgraduate degree.
