Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance

This comprehensive course has been especially designed to provide insights and an interactive forum where decision makers in society can be equipped with the necessary skills enabling them to put in place the formal and informal structures to arrive at and implement the appropriate decisions.


The program focuses on practicing managers at senior managerial level, aspiring to steer their organizations in the globalized future. Participants will acquire knowledge and skills to successfully run business in a practical and experiential learning environment. Lectures, seminars, case studies, reports, presentations and guest speakers will for part of the delivery process.

Expected outcome:
In order to enable the participating managers understand and interpret the principles of best practice and thus facilitate the implementation of board instruments such as strategic plans, they will need to:
• Integrate various management theories with practical application for good governance.
• Effectively and efficiently make identification, analysis and deployment of organizational resources.
• Demonstrate technical, conceptual and analytical skills in functional areas of business.
• Demonstrate knowledge about the analysis of major strategic issues in the organizations.

Entry requirements:
To be eligible for admission, a candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
a) Must process a Bachelors degree or equivalent and
b) Must have been a Director for at least two years; or
c) Must have been a Senior Manager for not less than 5 years

NB. Consideration will be given to applicants with special competencies and experience as will be approved by the Senate.

Delivery Mode:
Classes are offered on part time basis (Evenings or Saturdays) to allow one to grow in office as they attend classes.
